Brentwood turns bucolic this Sunday and Monday for Memorial Day Weekend as the internationally known, student run, Jazz & Reggae Festival kicks off another Los Angeles summer on the Intramural Field of the UCLA campus. Sunday is “Jam Day” featuring the notable sounds of Lupe Fiasco and Talib Kweli while Sunday provides positive vibrations from the likes of Steel Pulse and The Wailing Souls.
There’s tons of music all day from 12n to 7pm and UCLA and the student-producers of the event have made a an effort to make this festival an eco-friendly gathering by incorporating sustainability practices like composting and eliminating single use water bottles. Pre-sale tickets are just $29 for one day or $50 for both.
