Event Description

What it is – An amazing opportunity to help end the cycle of child abuse

For over 30 years, locals have walked the strand to raise funds for the Richstone Family Center, one of the most progressive centers for the treatment and prevention of child abuse. Located just a few miles from downtown Manhattan Beach, the center provides critical services to families affected by child abuse.

Honor National Child Abuse Prevention Month and start your day with friends and family enjoying the beautiful ocean views, great music, a drawing for 4 Disneyland Park Hopper tickets, our Famous Dog Costume Contest and more!

Where -The Strand  We will walk starting at the Manhattan Beach Pier to the Hermosa Beach Pier and back.

Why We Walk    Because…You can make a difference by raising funds to support the center and help end the cycle of child abuse and domestic violence.

Who Should Walk-Everyone!  Participate as an individual or start a team with singles, families, kids of all ages (stroller friendly), seniors, friends, work colleagues, sports teams, community organizations, alumni groups, book clubs! And don’t forget your furry friends!
