Feed the Fish at Redondo’s own SEA Lab this Saturday!

Right along the border between Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach near the sea sits a small aquatic treasure that has been educating the South Bay about marine conservation and our coastal wonders since 1997. The SEA Lab in Redondo Beach is perfect for a quick family activity or an eco-friendly first date. They have guided tours on the weekends with docents who are college age students trained by the Los Angeles Conservation Corps. The SEA Labrehabs locally injured sea life and those inadvertently captured by the nearby power plant.

Every Saturday at 12:00N for a small cost of $2.00, you and your family can feed the fish in the tide pool tank, its usually run on a first come first feed basis. The exhibits are fun and hands-on, so get up- close and personal this weekend with some sharks, crabs, lobsters, sea stars, sea cucumbers anemones, halibuts, etc. There is a recommended donation of a couple bucks per visitor.

The Sea Lab is located at 1021 N. Harbor Drive Redondo Beach and is open Tue-Fri 9am-3:30pm; Weekends 10am-4pm.
