South Bay Easter Egg Hunts

In honor of giant bunnies, cheap, plastic Easter eggs, new beginnings and baskets filled with fake grass, below are some egg hunts and Easter celebrations happening around the South Bay now through Sunday, April 21, 2019.

 

Gardena
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny followed by an Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, April 20th at the Nakaoka Community Center in Gardena. Breakfast & crafts happen from 8:00 a.m. to – 9:45 a.m., with the Easter Egg Hunt beginning at 10:00 a.m. $5 pre-sale tickets for Breakfast with the Easter Bunny available at the Nakaoka Community Center. Lomita
The city of Lomita invites the public to have Breakfast with Bunny Saturday, April 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m at Lomita Park. Enjoy coffee, pastries and take a picture with the Easter Bunny. Then at 9:30 a.m. an Easter Egg Hunt follows for all kids 14 and under. Lomita Park is located at 24428 Eshelman Ave, Lomita, CA 90717.

Palos Verdes
The city of Rancho Palos Verdes host an Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza Saturday, April 20 at Ladera Linda Community Center. An appearance by the big bunny, loads of prizes, and lots of photo opportunities make this event one you and your family won’t want to miss. Open to children ages 1-8 years old. St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church will host a Community Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20 from from 10 a.m. to noon. This FREE family event includes live music, refreshments, crafts, games, face painting, a bouncy house and an egg hunt. St. Luke’s is located 26825 Rolling Hills Road in Rolling Hills Estates. The Neighborhood Church will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 21 at 10:15 a.m. The hunt will take place between services on the south lawn, or in the Fellowship Hall in case of rain. To RSVP, bring one dozen filled plastic eggs per child participating, by Thursday, April 18th. On Easter Sunday, bring a basket and a friend and come join the fun! Hermosa Beach
Hope Chapel presents their Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Hermosa Valley Park on Saturday, April 20th. This free event will take place from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, with the Easter Egg Hunt starting at 10:00 a.m., open to kids 12 years and under. This year over 30,000 Easter Eggs will need to be found! There will also be fun games and activities for kids of all ages such as bounce houses, game booths, face painting, photo booth and more! Free parking and shuttle service from Hope Chapel and Mira Costa High School (North Peck lot) to Hermosa Valley Park. Arrive early to ensure parking. All are welcome. Redondo Beach

Take a picture with the Easter Bunny Center Court (Level 1) at South Bay Galleria now through Saturday, April 20 (Monday to Saturday: 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m). City of Redondo Beach host an Egg Hunt & Family Picnic Saturday, April 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Franklin Park (behind Franklin Elementary School). The event is free and open for all ages; must bring your own basket. Egg Hunt Schedule: Ages 0 to 2 – 10:30 a.m., Ages 3 to 5 – 11:00 a.m., Ages 6 to 8 – 11:30 a.m. & Ages 9+ – noon. Torrance
The City of Torrance celebrates Easter on Saturday April 20 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon with annual Breakfast & Visit with a Bunny event. It includes breakfast, a special performance by Buster Balloon, cookie decorating, a snapshot with the Bunny, and more. Breakfast will be served from 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. and seating is limited. No strollers or baby carriers will be permitted inside. Children 10 years of age and under must be accompanied by a paid adult. Connection Point Church is hosting its annual Giant Easter Egg Hunt at Wilson Park on April 20th (100,000 Easter eggs, games, jump houses, live music and giveaways). FREE to the community! Bring a basket and don’t be late-the fun starts at 10:00 a.m, with the hunt immediately at 11:35 am . After the hunt, there will be raffles giveaways for the kids so make sure you register at the registration table to get your free raffle ticket/per child.
