Oh the weather outside is delightful and the traffic on Sepulveda… spiteful. That’s right, holiday season in the South Bay is in full stop and go mode and if your occupation includes a morning or afternoon commute, you should have noticed an uptick in seasonal traffic by now. The roads and retail isles will be festooned with consumers this weekend making Christmas shopping an artful sport till about December 24th. Happy holidays!

South Bay Ballet present “The Nutcracker” at El Camino College: Saturday, December 17 & Sunday, December 18, 2016 – 2:00 PM More than 100 dancers will take the stage to perform Charles Maple’s choreography to Tchaikovsky’s original score. This classic ballet tells the story of a young girl’s vivid Christmas Eve dream of her Nutcracker prince escorting her to the magical Kingdom of Sweets. Christmas Party at King Harbor Brewing Company: Saturday, December 17, 2016 – 7:00 PM Get drunk with Santa at King Harbor Brewing Company’s Christmas Party this Saturday starting around 7:00 p.m. Seasonal attire like an ugly sweater or a Cousin Eddie outfit (antagonist to Clark W. Journey of Faith presents “A Christmas Journey”: Saturday, December 17, 2016 – Monday, December 19, 2016 Journey of Faith kicks off the holiday season by presenting “A Christmas Journey” Saturday December 17th through Monday December 19th. JOF is back at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center for their 4th year! This free holiday musical experience is their gift to the South Bay community. Come out and join them. Performance Schedule: 12/17 – 4pm and 7pm, 12/18 – 4pm and 7pm & 12/19 – 7pm. Tickets will be available at the door starting 1 hour before each show time.

Krampus Beer Fest: Saturday, December 17, 2016 – Noon – 8:00 PM It makes perfect sense that Phantom Carriage Brewery would celebrate a European Christmas Devil that’s half goat, half demon. The story of Krampus has many narratives and a couple domestic & international theatrical releases, but find out more about this legendary beast Saturday starting at noon on-site at Phantom Carriage’s Krampus Beer Fest. A host of strong ales, Belgians, Barleywines, Stouts, Sours and toasty, big ABV beers will be available to keep you warm. Seasonal holiday horror flicks and scary music accent the event.
