The City of Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation Department present another free movie under the stars at Polliwog Saturday night. Entertainment for the evening features an animated adventure produced by Disney / Pixar called “Inside Out.” The movie is rated PG and last 95 minutes. Seating is open, so get there early with blanket and chairs.
Enjoy a fermented liquid substance after some stretching and pulling on Saturday morning. Take part in a 60-minute all-level yoga class at The Dudes’ Brewery in Torrance to detoxify your body, followed up with a retoxifying round of The Dudes’ brew of your choice. A $20 ticket includes: yoga class + beer ticket (good for one 16oz pint OR tasting flight of 4- 4oz pours).

Roundhouse Run for the Oceans : Saturday, May 14, 2016 – 9:30 AM Join Roundhouse Aquarium for their 4th Annual 5K Timed family beach run/walk to benefit the Roundhouse Aquarium. All proceeds go to further their mission of ocean and environmental education. Registration fee includes electronic timing, commemorative t-shirt, and refreshments. The 1st-3rd place finisher in each division will receive a medal and prizes. Yoga + Beer at The Dudes’ Brewing Co.: Saturday, May 14, 2016 – 10:30 AM Take part in a 60-minute all-level yoga class to detoxify your body, followed up with a retoxifying and refreshing brew of your choice. Free Concert Aboard Battleship Iowa: Saturday, May 14, 2016 – 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM This coming Saturday Battleship Iowa in San Pedro will host a concert by the Symphonic Winds of the Pacific beginning at 11:30 AM aboard the ship. The concert is part of the Music Under the Guns concert series and admission is free. The Symphonic Winds of the Pacific is a premier Southern California wind band based in Fullerton and directed by Dr. Tony Mazzaferro. The program will feature show and movie soundtrack highlights, light classics and marches. Following the concert, reduced price admission to tour the battleship will be available.
