Strand Brewing Co. Begins to Bottle Brew

The rise of craft beer in the South Bay is great for the palate and the local economy. Torrance based Strand Brewing Co. makes a rite of passage this Saturday, March 16th by issuing some of their flagship brews like 24th Street Pale Ale and Beach House Amber in bottle format according to a recent blog post in Patch. The Wonder Years have been kind to the small group at Strand Brewing Co. because today buzz for their taps can be found all over South Bay bars and restaurants, we first sampled their 24th Street Pale Ale during 2010’s SoCal Suds Beer Festival. It was love at first sip.

Bottles will be sold in a non-standard size 16.9 ounce drinking vessel, which by volume is just a taste bigger than a pint. Local craft beer retailers and some Whole Food stores should start stocking their shelves with some Strand brew in the next month or so. To celebrate their new bottle launch this Saturday, a keg of White Sand Double IPA and a cask of oaked Second Sleep Russian Imperial Stout will be prepped for libations inside their tap room.

Strand Brewing Co. tap room is located at 23520 Telo Ave # 2, Torrance and will open around noon this Saturday.Tap Room hours: Thursday & Friday 4-9pm, Saturday 12-8pm, & Sunday 12-6pm
