South Bay Weekend: Wet Hop Season, Finding Nemo, The Deck, Okinawan Music, Poker Tournament, Autumn Sea Fair, Brewtopia & Bark for Life

The craft beer scene around the South Bay adds another layer of intrigue and hop magic when El Segundo Brewing Co. embraces Wet Hop Season this weekend. Most hops are picked toward the end of summer, dried and shipped to breweries across the land so the elbow-bodied, beer drinking public can enjoy IPA brew all year round. Some hops, think fresh hops, go directly from vine to brewery usually within 24 hours of harvesting. It’s akin to cooking with fresh herbs rather than dried herbs.

ESBC made fresh-hopped beer last year and they are one of the first South Bay breweries to embrace Wet Hop Season. They will be brewing and bottle releasing a wet-hopped version of their Mayberry IPA and offering other wet-hopped brew on site all weekend long (details below).
