TEDxLoyolaMarymountU will take place on May 2, 2015 at Loyola Marymount University from 10:00am to 3:30pm. The independently organized event, licensed by TED, will feature local, national and international voices and TED Talks videos under the theme of 360°: Learning from Every Angle. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including TEDxLoyolaMarymountU, are self-organized events that bring the community together to share a TEDlike experience. The event is called TEDxLoyolaMarymountU, where x = independently organized TED event.

At our TEDxLoyolaMarymountU event, Angelenos come together in a free exchange of education related ideas worth spreading, inspired to future action that will enhance our communities.
Tickets are $45 per person and available online through Eventbrite. TEDxLoyolaMarymountU will take place inside Murphy Hall on the campus of Loyola Marymount University located at 1 LMU Drive in Los Angeles Saturday (May 2nd) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

principles to “addict” students to learning
Jesse Chen – A technology strategist with a vision for a “new power” democratic
infrastructure, Chen will challenge leaders of organizations, communities and
governments to more authentically represent their constituents.
Chiqeeta Jameson – CoFounder of the Dangerous Boobs Tour, Jameson is
determined to change the standard of breast health care, delivering a passionate,
medicallybased TEDxTalk, “If You’re Dense, You Need to be Smart.”
Margaret Martin, DrPH, MPH Illuminating student brain development, Dr. Martin
discuss the transformative effects of music education for underprivileged children.
Carol A. Wells Founder and Executive Director of Center for the Study of Political
Graphics, Wells will focus on the power of graphics to combat public apathy and
feelings of helplessness, opening up a truly democratic arena for political debate.
Bodo Hoenen With his latest project, EdTech innovator, Hoenen will illustrate how
we can leverage the natural teaching moments of communities to digitally teach any
child, just about anything, no matter where they are born.
Shea Emry Emry’s talk will inspire a rewilding of the culture of masculinity, one that
accepts a more whole and complete human. No part, tear, feeling or grunt left out.
Billionaire P.A. Selfmade entrepreneur, Billionaire, seeks to inspire billions of people

Bailey knows a bit about creativity and innovation. At the University of Maryland, he
led a cutting edge, multidisciplinary consulting program called QUEST and will
discuss how he creative an environment that recognized and capitalized on students’
inner creativity and genius.
