Skip the urge to see 50 Shades of Grey this weekend and soak in a classic film noir pictutre down on El Segundo’s historic Richmond Street. The Maltese Falcon shows all weekend at Old Town Music Hall with showings at 8:15 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The plot of the 1941 Humphrey Bogart classic revolves around a 12-inch falcon statue that’s either priceless or totally fake. The stylistic film is a mixture of mystery, romance, and thriller. ADM Presents: Love Your Car Event : Saturday, February 14, 2015 – 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM The Automobile Driving Museum (ADM) will be hosting a “Love Your Car” event on Saturday February 14th, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Leon “The Motorman” Kaplan from KABC radio will be hosting the event. He will be available to answer all your questions about your loved car. Roses will be available for the first 100 ladies and chocolates will be given out. The Strand House Presents: Love Rockes Event at Strand Bar: Saturday, February 14, 2015 – 7:00 PM Skip the main course and head straigt to the Strand House Bar for their “Love Rocks” event. The Strand Bar presents “Love Rocks” featuring live music by The Radio Rebels beginning at 7:00 PM followed by dancing and a DJ at 10:00 PM. $20 cover at the door. Tour & Sail The Tall Ships in Redondo Beach: Sunday, February 15, 2015 – Monday, February 16, 2015 – 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM The Waterfront Education team invites the public to attend the STEM TopSail Open House on February 15th and February 16th . The community will be able to Tour the Tall Ship, Sample the Tall Ship or Sail the Tall Ship. The tall ship tour is free. There is a one hour discovery excursion ($10 kids, $20 adults) and two hour extended adventure where you can become part of the crew and help sail the tall ship ($20 kids, $40 adults). Space is limited on the sail excursions so reservations are recommended. Tickets purchased at the boat during the event will be an additional $5.00 per ticket.
