South Bay Weekend: Film Series – Beauty of Nature, Paleo Book Signing, Plaza El Segundo, Hermosa Beach Holiday Fest, Beatles vs Stones, Antiques & More

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy ends its Film Series called The Beauty of Nature this Saturday at Warner Grand Theatre with a screening of “Kon Tiki.” An Academy Award nominated film for Best Foreign Language Film in 2012, “Kon Tiki” charters the course thought to be an ancient route from South America to Polynesia in an attempt to prove that ancient peoples could have voyaged across the Pacific from Peru to Polynesia. The historical drama depicts a Norwegian adventurer, Thor Heyerdal, and his crew who use a balsa wood raft to journey over 4,300 miles on the ocean. This film series is presented by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy. Each film explores a different aspect of beauty in nature and the interconnections within our natural world. more info
