The Redondo Pier Association is pleased to announce the inaugural Movies on the Boardwalk at the Redondo Beach Pier beginning this Friday, June 6 at 7:00 p.m. This free event will feature movies every Friday evening throughout the month of June including The Goonies, Soul Surfer, American Graffiti and Frozen. The Redondo Pier Association invites visitors to arrive early and enjoy a pre-movie bite to eat or drink at one of the many restaurants located on Fisherman’s Wharf and International Boardwalk. This Friday’s free movie is The Goonies, bring a beach chair and a blanket.

Watchmen: Surveillance & The Flaneur: Saturday, June 07, 2014 – 11:00am-5:00pm Opening reception for two new exhibits at the Torrance Art Museum open up to the public this Saturday: WATCHMEN – Surveillance and The Flaneur & 179 Easy Steps to a Masterpiece. The Watchmen exhibition will examine the relationship between the notion of the Flaneur (French for lounging or loafing) and the City derive under the pressure of being watched via CCTV cameras and monitoring. SCRATCH: Opening Reception at El Segundo Museum of Art: Sunday, June 08, 2014 – 2:00 PM ESMoA and the Getty Research Institute have invited Getty Black Book artists Axis, Cre8, Defer, Eye One, Fishe, and Miner to co-curate those crews of creative friends from the LA graffiti art community and turn the art laboratory of ESMoA into an open black book.
