El Camino College Theatre Department Presents Cabaret: Friday, April 18, 2014 – Saturday, April 19 El Camino College Theatre Department concludes its 2013-14 Season with John Kander and Fred Ebb’s Tony Award-winning musical CABARET, opening April 18, 2014, in the College’s Campus Theatre. CABARET, directed by Valerie Rachelle, takes audiences deep into the seedy nightlife of the Kit Kat Klub on the eve of Hitler’s rise to power in Weimar Germany. The Live Art Series: A Group Exhibition: Saturday, April 19, 2014 – Noon – 5:00 PM From April 12 through May 30th, 2014, every Saturday from 12-5 pm at the Frame & Art Department in Hermosa Beach, a featured artists will be doing a live demonstration of their technique with a small reception. Earth Day at Madrona March Sponsored by Exonmobil: Saturday, April 19, 2014 – 8:00 AM – 12 Noon The Madrona Marsh is home to a vast variety of birds, plants, and all forms of critters. What better way to celebrate Earth Day than planting native plants and enhancing the beauty of the Marsh. Participants are advised to wear closed toe shoes and jeans. Gloves and refreshments will be provided for this free event. Madrona Marsh is located at 3201 Plaza del Amo, Torrance.

City of Torrance Earth Day Recycling Event : Saturday, April 19, 2014 – 8:00 AM – 12 Noon On Saturday, April 19, 2014 the City of Torrance will be celebrating Earth Day. The free Earth Day events will include paper shredding, recycling drop-off for electronics, clothing and shoes, and used oil and filters. The event will be from 8 a.m. to Noon at the Toyota Employee Parking Lot.
