The official end of another glorious South Bay summer makes some noise this Labor Day Weekend as Fiesta Hermosa celebrates its 41st year. Just like last year, crowds are expected to swell above the 100,000 mark to what is arguably North America’s largest Arts and Crafts Fair. Thus, the best mode of transportation is a beach cruiser or a pair of flip-flops.
This classic event is hallmarked by an intricate maze of vendors and an array of fair food, but the weekend´s peak performance comes inside the Beer & Wine Garden. All proceeds here go to charity, so in case you overdo it there will be a silver lining and a tribute band nearby to remedy any ailments. This year The Rolling Stones and Heart will be some of the tribute acts entertaining festival patrons.
Free Shuttle Bus service will run daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. from the Northrop Grumman Parking Lot on Aviation Blvd, approximately two blocks north of the intersection of Aviation Blvd. and Marine Avenue in Manhattan Beach.
Hermosa Cyclery will offer a free bike valet service just south of the Hermosa Beach Pier, featuring an on-site diagnostic checkup. The lot is open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily.
