According to a recent poll by Los Angeles Hot List, a website where people simply vote about their favorite LA businesses, Torrance based Smog City Brewery recently won “Best Local Brewery.” It’s great to live in a democratic society where craft beer and voting can co-exist on the Internet but it feels a little early to start doling out best in show accolades to any of the craft beer breweries in and around the South Bay. Smog City is definitely stamping their brand as one of the more innovative craft breweries around as their Rarest of the Rare event during LA Beer Week was able to bend a whole bunch of elbows by featuring barrel aged bourbon beers, sour beers, & other experimental styles.
This Saturday from noon to 4:00 p.m. Smog City will host a Fan Appreciation Party in their tasting room. $1 Samples and $3 beers will be available but to keep what might be a long line in harmony, orders will be limited to 4 4oz pours or 2 full pours at a time. On tap will be a diverse array of suds, a “Chip Shot” coffee porter, different style IPAs, Margherita Tripel, & more. Smog City Brewery is located at 1901 Del Amo Blvd Ste B in Torrance, visit their websiteto find out what else is brewing.
