Possibly taking a nod from other successful restaurant weeks like dineLA or Dine MB, the city of Torrance and its chamber of commerce have put together their first week long event that puts a spotlight on dining out at chamber member restaurants and breweries with the potential of winning a prize valued at $300 if you can remember to keep your receipt.

Dine Out Torrance happens this week and runs till Saturday, November 14th. Participating Torrance Chamber restaurants and breweries include the likes of Red Car Brewery, Torrance Bakery Sandwich Shop, Ortega 120, Absolution Brewing Co. and a list of others (see image below). No specially priced meals or prix fixe dinners or lunches will be offered. All diners and elbow benders need to do is purchase a meal or beverage during Dine Out Torrance Week and then bring paid receipt to the Torrance Chamber of Commerce office, where you will be given a ticket for a special drawing (valued at over $300) for each receipt. The drawing will take place at their Holiday Open House on December 10th; winner doesn’t need to attend. Torrance Chamber of Commerce is located at 3400 Torrance Boulevard, suite 100.
The trick here is not to lose sight of your receipt and then finding enough time drop if off at the chamber. Hopefully the prize will convince folks to participate and get out and support local businesses. Deadline to submit your receipts is Friday, December 4th.
