BriXton, a perennial face of the Redondo Pier has slimmed down its winter programming schedule but will open doors this weekend as Resin Music hosts L.B.D.A. on Friday night. LBDA is a mix of original members from Sublime with a cache of players from the Long Beach Dub Allstars who played their first live concert in over a decade just last year. In some ways it’s a reunion of that quintessential Southern California culture that brought together ska, punk, and reggae sounds made popular by Sublime’s 1992 release of 40oz. to freedom. Expect to hear a round of Sublime hits mixed in with some new material LBDA has been kicking around with an appearance from local punk band Special C. Tickets to the show can be purchased online for about $18.
