Legendary Hermosa Beach Surf Weekend

The joy of surfing and the lucrative ideal of being a local surf brand in the South Bay for 30 years meet this Saturday in Hermosa Beach for the 6th Annual Spyder Surf Fest. All types of swag giveaways, live music, hall of fame inductees, and fundraising for breast cancer highlight this three-day event that commences Thursday night inside Spyder Surf Women’s store at 7:00 p.m. The city of Hermosa Beach will induct one of its newest members to The Surfers Walk of Fame Saturday at 11:00 a.m. near the Hermosa Beach Pier.

The legendary Hermosa Beach surf weekend picks up speed Thursday night (7-10 p.m.) as Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) aims to educate and raise some funds with a little shopping inside Spyder Surf Women’s on the Hermosa Pier Plaza. Drinks & snacks will be provided and some proceeds will be given to B4BC, a non-profit foundation who’s mission of promoting early detection + a healthy, active lifestyle as the best means of breast cancer prevention. On Friday night starting at 6 p.m. the Hermosa Beach Historical Society moves on down the line by throwing its 8th Annual Surf Film Festfeaturing the newest surf flick “Done” with John-John Florence. Snacks, live music, and a silent auction sponsored by Spyder close out the evening.

Saturday peaks with Spyder’s Surf Fest going off around noon as the Hermosa Pier decorates itself with surf branded tents, games, and giveaways for both groms and adults.
