Quality Seafood Celebrates 60 Years with Sixty Cent Beers

Believe it or not, 2013 marks the 60th anniversary of Redondo Pier’s most classy fish and seafood market, Quality Seafood Inc. Stroll along the King Harbor side of the so aptly named International Boardwalk on any given South Bay weekend and you will find an ethnically diverse crowd hunched over an array of communal tables tactically devouring crustaceans, sea urchins, lobster heads, shellfish, whole fish (broiled or fried), and other edible sea creatures. Stick around long enough and you might get to hear a live mariachi band too. It’s a real-time fish market experience because you get to select whatever Dungeness crab or Maine lobster your heart desires just before it takes a hot steam bath.

According to their website, Quality Seafood will honor their 60th year of business by offering a week long special for every month in 2013. During March, specially selected 12 oz. draft beers will cost a mere sixty cents starting right now all the way through the end of this week Sunday, March 24th. With the sunshine making the day longer and touch warmer, there’s never been a better time to get down and dirty with the seafood lover in you.
