It’s time to celebrate the maternal side of the family this Sunday, the side that brought you into the world and hopefully nurtured you through infancy and installed a decent set of values upon you. In fact, before you finish reading this, please go call your mom and let her know what’s happening in your life, even if it’s a long distance call. Flowers, candy, and gift cards became the normal way to praise mom for her unconditional love, but a Mother’s Day brunch is a much more intimate and palate pleasing way to celebrate Mom.
