South Bay Weekend: Father’s Day, ArtWalk, San Pedro Shred, ROCK2ROCK, The Rising, & World Cup Viewing Party

Breweries and dads are synonymous; it’s an ingenious marketing package that combines quality and a do-it-yourself flavor that all dads identify with. Luckily, breweries and craft beer have officially taken root in the South Bay thanks to Joe Elliot and Rick Marcello, owners of The Strand Brewing Company in Torrance, as well as others like El Segundo Brewing Company and Smog City Brewery (Torrance). This Sunday take dad on some craft beer tasting field trips around the South Bay or journey up to Santa Monica for the 2nd annual Father’s Day CollaBREWtive Brunch that pairs craft beer and coffee. Local breweries ESBC, Monkish Brewing, and Smog City Brewery will be participating in Saturday’s CollaBREWtive Brunch. Cost per adult is $65 and reservations are required.

Keep dad active this Sunday with the Father’s Day Edition of the Manhattan Beach 5K where top finishers, toddlers through dads, receive a cookie medal. If dad is a tried and true watermen, then send him a reminder about this Sunday’s ROCK2ROCK Paddleboard Race that covers 22 miles from the isthmus of Catalina Island to Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro.

Below are a list of South Bay Events. Enjoy the weekend!
