608 NORTH Art Gallery: Last Exhibition : Friday, December 05, 2014 – 6:00 – 9:00 PM This is the gallery closing exhibition. 11 artists will be exhibiting their work from Friday, December 5 through Sunday, December 28. The 11 artists included in the last exhibit are Lynn Attig, Angelin. D’Arcy, Bernard Fallon, Jose Hernandez, Robert Mackie, Janet Milhomme, Edie Pfeifer, Gloria Plascencia, Tom Prettyman, Donald Rock and Patricia Woolley. Sandpipers Holiday Homes Tour 2014: Friday, December 05, 2014 – Sunday, December 07, 2014 Sandpipers showcases four distinctive homes in the South Bay for the 22nd Annual Holiday Homes Tour. Each home is magnificently decorated and magically transformed for the holidays. In addition, a Holiday Boutique featuring local artisans and vendors and a Café provide for the shopping and snacking convenience of attendees. The Holiday Homes Tour is a popular event in the community that annually attracts more than 2,000 patrons and garners tremendous support from numerous local businesses and community partners. more info
Alpine Village Christmas Faire: Saturday, December 06, 2014 – Sunday, December 07, 2014 – 4:00pm – 9:00pm Alpine Village will be holding their 1st annual Christmas Faire including snow for the kids. The snow will be blasted from an ice truck used for Hollywood film production with the feel and consistency of real snow (think of fluffy shaved-ice). If you’ve never witnessed a snow party, and if the kids have never played in real snow, this will be a really special event for all, AND it’s easier than a drive up to Mt. Baldy (make sure to bring close-toed shoes so the little ones don’t freeze their little feet). more info

Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo: Hot Wheels Garage: Saturday, December 06, 2014 – 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM The Automobile Driving Museum (ADM) will be hosting a Hot Wheels® Garage event on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be featuring a Hot Wheels® display of life size cars and numerous Hot Wheels® tracks and cars to race on. The museum will be hosting a toy drive and will have a special appearance by Santa Claus himself. A face painter will also be available to paint holiday cheer. more info
52nd Annual Boat Parade on Battleship Iowa: Saturday, December 06, 2014 Make a date for the Holiday Boat Parade party aboard Battleship IOWA. Entertainment will include carolers, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, a visit from Santa Claus, and more. Tickets available now Adults $20 and Children (ages 6 to 12) $10, (5 and under) FREE.
