It is officially the second South Bay Weekend of 2015 and we are just barley done wringing out the leftovers of 2014. Please note, anybody that posts an event to our site must use the correct year, 2015, without the correct date your event will be lost in time and will never land in our special event page. There’s always an adjustment period at the beginning of a new year.

Here’s a little nostalgia for 2014, although we didn’t feature a restaurant every month, we put together an easy list of our favorite restaurants that we ate at, wrote about and will return to again in 2015 for a sandwich, a pizza, happy hour, and a burger or two. Take a look.

Oskar Blues Keg Release Party & Tap Takeover: Friday, January 09, 2015 – 5pm – close Oskar Blues has allocated only 4 kegs of their coveted IceyPA to the entire South Bay and YOU are invited to have a pint. The Wizard of Oz (the Musical) at Warner Grand Theatre: Friday, January 09, 2015 – Saturday, January 10, 2015 – Various We’re off to see the most magical production of them all! Local children take on The Wizard of Oz as a celebration of the film’s 75th Anniversary. Presented by Encore Entertainers. Performances are January 9, 10, 16 & 17 at 7:30 p.m. and January 11 & 18 at 2 p.m. at 478 W. 6th Street, San Pedro. Tickets: $22-$32 at encoreentertainers.org

South Bay Customs and BRC present: Too Damn Good!: Friday, January 09, 2015 – 8:00 PM – Close South Bay Customs is an American Motorcycle shop, Art Gallery and Live Music Venue all rolled into one. They are located in El Segundo’s Smokey Hallow district, in the heart of LA’s famed South Bay. Friday night a mixture of trip-hop, groove rock, and modified jazz music styles perform live at South Bay Customs. more info

Hot Wheels Garage at El Segundo Automobile Driving Museum : Saturday, January 10, 2015 – 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM The Automobile Driving Museum (ADM) will be hosting a Hot Wheels® Garage event on Saturday, January 10th, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be featuring a Hot Wheels® display of life-size cars and numerous Hot Wheels® tracks and cars to race with. The museum will be hosting a children’s book drive to support South Bay schools. more info

Super Diamond – tribute to Neil Diamond at Saint Rocke: Saturday, January 10, 2015 – 9:00 PM – Close This popular tribute band interprets Neil Diamond’s music in a surreal way blending fun with riffs from some of America’s other favorite groups like Led Zepplin and KISS. more info

Aragorn & Olivia at Kincaid’s: Sunday, January 11, 2015 – 12:00pm-3:00pm Music, Bottomless Mimosas, classic American Grill selections, and gorgeous ocean views… That’s what you can find every Sunday at Kincaid’s on the Redondo Beach Pier.
