Roundhouse Aquarium, Manhattan Beach’s seafaring educational resource at the end of the pier celebrates fall this Saturday and Sunday by honoring the seasonal South Bay shift from warm to cool with their Leaves & Laughter event. It’s a homespun good time that promises colorful crafts, temporary tattoos, games & prizes. According to their newsletter, “It’ll be acorns of fun.” Since 1979 the Roundhouse Aquarium has been an aquatic teaching institution partly powered by volunteer staff and so they will be recruiting new volunteers for 2016 with a training session in January. Online application to become a volunteer can be found here but be sure and visit Roundhouse’s website to learn more about volunteer duties and qualifications.
