South Bay Weekend: St. Patrick’s Parade, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Spring Fashion Show, Craft Beer = Pi Day, A Tribute to Pearl Jam, Leprechaun Dash, Cherry Blossoms & More

The death of one of Ireland’s most popular super-heroes St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, comes to life this weekend all across the South Bay. March 17th is believed to be the day St. Patrick died and therefore represents the only day wearing green head to toe seems fashionable. One Emerald Isle tradition that’s been a joy to watch year after year takes place this Saturday, March 14th in Downtown Hermosa Beach.

Since 1995, what began as a group of Irish-Americans celebrating their heritage has morphed into a great ‘hometown’ local event drawing thousands to the streets of Hermosa Beach each year in a great celebration of community while retaining important elements of Irish heritage and culture. The 21st annual Hermosa Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade steps onto Pier Avenue at approximately 11:00 a.m. this Saturday. more info
