We slept in last Friday and just couldn’t put together a weekend post, sometimes the Internet is all consuming. There’s a happen-stance confluence of two entities that could make for a wonderful partnership this weekend, Father’s Day & LA Beer Week. Did we mention LA Beer Week starts tomorrow? If dad favors cold drafts and just needs a reason to imbibe (this Sunday is Father’s Day), then maybe LA Beer Week is his thing. There are also some local restaurants, resorts, and a battleship that are planning special menus for dad and we listed a couple earlier in the week on a separate blog post.
Summer weather is upon us this weekend, most South Bay Schools have already been dismissed and water temps around local beaches are right around 63 degrees, so a simple beach excursion, wade or nap seems likely. There are some non-alcoholic events happening Friday through Sunday and we’ve listed some below.

Free Friday Night Movies on the Boardwalk at Redondo Beach Pier Featuring “Earth to Echo”: Friday, June 19, 2015 – 8:00 – 10:00 pm The Redondo Pier Association continues their Free Movies on the Boardwalk at the Redondo Beach Pier this Friday, June 19th at 8:00 p.m. This free event will feature movies every Friday evening throughout the month of June with remaining features from Earth to Echo and Dolphin Tale 2.
