South Bay weekend plans will be adjusted accordingly to shifting weather systems as the biggest Pineapple Express driven storm drenches the beach cities and the west coast. The surf is up and pounding all along the coastal Santa Monica Bay with over-head and double over-head wind blown and white-capped waves churning the ocean into a Victory at Sea. The run-off from the storm will mix all types of malcontent sewage into local beach breaks but could arrange wave shaping sand bars that produce long lines and smooth shoulders during the holidays. One casualty of the storm is the first showdown of the South Bay Boardriders Club surf series that was supposed to happen this Saturday. It has been post-poned according to their facebook page:
“Surf Series Contest is POSTPONED due to unfavorable conditions forecast for Saturday. Safety is priority #1, and it has been decided to postpone the contest until the next available date from LA County Harbors and Beaches Dept.”
