Surf 4A Cure Surf Relay this Sunday at Torrance Beach

This Sunday at Torrance Beach watch teams of 12 surfers compete in an old school style surf relay in an effort to raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer research. The event is put on by The Young and Brave Foundation and is hosted by Surf 4A Cure where at least two surfers from each team must be in the water one hour during the six hour surf relay (6:00am – 12noon). All types of surfers are welcome to participate, longboarders, stand-up paddleboarders, and bodyboarders.

According to Surfing 4A Cure’s facebook page The Young and Brave Foundation’s Surfing 4a Cure Surf Relay will be held at the south end of Torrance Beach parking lot. You can enter the parking lot just south of Miramar Park on Paseo De La Playa. There is a $8 charge to park in the lot if you can’t find free street parking. Look for the White tent with a Surfing 4a Cure banner.

The surfing 4a Cure after party will be Held at Ortega 120 in Redondo Beach 3:00pm – 6:00pm. Ortega 120 will have happy hour prices for the party and donate back 20% of all sales to Surfing 4A Cure.

The Party will nclude food and drink specials along with some great auction and raffle prizes.Some Items include: surfboard, tickets to the Ellen Show, MTV Video Music Awards, So You Think You Can Dance and other fun prizes.
