The buzz and hum of air conditioners heard all through the week mean summer weather has dropped in a little early, one week ahead of Memorial Day Weekend and Fiesta Hermosa. Stay cool by standing in front of your refrigerator all weekend long or head on out to an event below, there’s a Sea Fair going on Sunday, it’s the end of nationally celebrated American Craft Beer Week, or just park it on a beach and read your smartphone. SB Suds: Cheers to American Craft Beer Week in the South Bay Hoist a cold frosty this week and celebrate the nationwide homage to craft brewers as American Craft Beer Week runs through this Sunday. Started in 2006 by The Brewers Assn, ACBW highlights the efforts (and growth) of small, independent brewers around the country who have contributed to rise and immense popularity of brewing in the USA. First Annual Bite at the Beach: Saturday, May 17, 2014 – 2PM-7PM The Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce and Stella Artois present the first annual Bite at the Beach featuring food and craft beer pairings from all around the South Bay and Los Angeles. Annual King Harbor Sea Fair Brings Tall Ship to Redondo The 7th annual King Harbor Sea Fair pushes off this Sunday from noon to 5pm in an effort to educate the public about boating safety and provide an in-person platform for various local organizations that offer opportunities to enjoy and care for the ocean. Totally free and open to the public, the Sea Fair will take place in three locations: King Harbor Yacht Club, 280 Yacht Club Way; Redondo Beach Yacht Club, 210 Yacht Club Way; and the SEA Lab, 1021 N.
