LA Beer Week: A South Bay Brewery Tour on a Shuttle Bus

The 4th annual LA Beer Week drafts off into hoppy existence this Thursday with a tasting schedule that is naturally LA centric. Last year’s LABW started at Naja’s but this year it begins near the Rose Bowl at the new Stone Brewing Company store in Pasadena. That’s a long way from the South Bay. Luckily, there is an event brewing this Saturday, September 22nd that provides transportation, libations, and even a schedule toward a burgeoning craft beer industry that’s more South Bay centric. As part of LA Beer Week, four of South Bay’s brewing establishments have collaborated to host a shuttle bus brewery tour.

Leave your car at home, and enjoy the fermented delights of El Segundo Brewing Co., Beachwood BBQ and Brewing, Monkish Brewing, and The Brewery at Abigaile all in the same day. Grab a Blue House Citra Pale in El Segundo, hop on the bus, and half an hour later grab some small bites at Hermosa’s newest gastropub and brewery. Followed by a beer flight of the Belgian-esque ales at Monkish, and finish your day with a huge pile of house-made BBQ and some of Beachwood’s newest libations.

From 1pm – 10pm buses will be running a continuously loop with the help of LA Craft Beer Tours between all four locations. Busses will start at El Segundo and Beachwood at 1pm sharp. Buses will pick up and drop off at each location about every hour. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online.
