Paddle for Daisy on Labor Day Weekend

Resident surf guru Al Merrick needs a little help these days as he’s been battling a different type of trendsetting zeitgeist as his beloved eight-year old granddaughter Daisy is battling cancer for the third time. The name Al Merrick rings loudly in the surfing community and that’s why he’s asked the surfing world to come together for a paddle out this Saturday, September 1st in honor and support of Daisy. Paddle outs will be happening world-wide but in the South Bay folks are meeting at 45th Street in El Porto (Manhattan Beach) to pray and paddle out for Daisy starting at 9:00 a.m.

She is facing Cancer for a third time after 6 surgeries, 22 rounds of Chemotherapy and 2 courses of radiation. For more information on how to help out Daisy and the Merrick family you can visit www.PADDLEFORDAISY.COM or text “DAISY” to 56512 to Doante $10 to the Merrick Family.
