South Bay Weekend: Foster’s Freeze, Movies at Seaside Lagoon, Cowboy Music, Molly’s Revenge, TAM, Riviera Village Sidewalk Sale, “Happy Feet”

Summer and ice cream share a sophisticated yet sweet partnership with the child in all of us, it is a warm-weather rite of passage to make a lazy, unscheduled office escape or post-dinner waltz down to a local ice cream shop for a frozen treat. This weekend (or next) make sure you make time to pay a visit to one of the many creamy businesses that have a South Bay zip code like Handel’s in Redondo Beach or Manhattan Beach Creamery. One of the more iconic ice cream stands sits in Old Town Torrance and has had the same location since 1947. Foster’s Freeze at 1624 Cravens Ave is an homage to the many derivations that can come from soft serve ice cream: Orange Freeze, a chocolate dipped cone, banana milkshake, a Twister (i.e. peanut butter & jelly mixed w/ vanilla soft-serve), and the menu goes on. Foster’s Freeze in Old Town Torrance has an antique look and an old-fashioned sensibility that make it quite a treasure on a hot weekend.

Below are a list of South Bay Events happening this weekend.
