The first ever production craft brewery to drop anchor in the South bay, Strand Brewing Co., is showing signs of positive growth as they are moving from their original Torrance tap room & brewery on Telo Avenue to a bigger space a couple miles due north within the same Torrance zip code in a week or two. This weekend is your last chance to fill a growler, enjoy a pint of beer in a mundane looking business plaza that gave birth to a burgeoning South Bay craft beer industry or to simply stop in for one last visit at Strand Brewing’s original tap room.
In a more serious note, a stretch of local South Bay coastline from 45th Street in Manhattan Beach all the way to Ballona Creek in Playa Vista has recently accumulated an unsightly distribution of debris, like tampons and hypodermic needles, according to Heal the Bay. As of this post beaches form 45th Street and Ballona Creek remain closed to the public. If you plan to swim, surf, or wade in the ocean this weekend please use caution. Below are some South Bay Events happening this weekend.
